Mark started Patane Accounting over 12 years ago and is a very hands-on working director and takes every opportunity to get out on site with clients to assist them wherever possible. He has completed a Bachelor of Business degree with a double major in Accounting and Public Practice, Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Certified Practising Accountant.

Since starting as an accountant back in 1998 Mark has worked on a range of clients but now primarily focuses on small to medium sized businesses. Mark loves his job and feels it is highly rewarding when he can assist clients at all different stages of their life. Over Mark’s working career he has established, nurtured, and grown numerous small and medium sized businesses and will continue doing so as leader of a very supportive team.

Mark loves to be outdoors and when he has the chance you may see him riding around town, out on the water, or maybe on the golf course. Mark is lucky to be part of a large family and enjoys all the benefits of a large Italian family and their offerings.

Alicia joined the team in March 2024 as a senior accountant, bringing a range of experience in finance and accounting with a background in finance.

Alicia is passionate about problem solving and compliance, and has a diverse understanding of business ethics and financial analysis. Her journey in the industry has been driven by a commitment to supporting small to medium sized businesses understand the financial and regulatory aspects of their business.

Alicia holds a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Economics and Business Management, from the University of Fort Hare, and is constantly seeking to expand her knowledge. She will be working towards CPA certification in the future.

When not spending time with her husband and sons, Alicia enjoys reading books and spending time outdoors and looks forward to working with you.

Andrew joined the team in March 2020 as a senior accountant. Andrew has his own client base of individuals and businesses on top of assisting Mark wherever necessary. Andrew can assist you with any of your tax compliance or business consultancy needs and is looking forward to growing his client base.

Andrew has 14 years’ experience in accounting including managing an accounting practice in Perth prior to returning to live in Bunbury to be closer to family. Andrew grew up in the Southwest having lived in Donnybrook before living in Bunbury for 20 plus years. Andrew knows the local area well and enjoys assisting local small business to grow and thrive.

When not in the office Andrew likes to spend time with nature taking hikes or relaxing reading a good book. He can also be found attending various community and children’s activities with his daughter.

Rose joined the team at Patane Accounting in May 2015, not long after she finished her Bachelor of Business degree at Edith Cowan University. As a graduate accountant, she worked on simpler returns and assisted at reception, taking calls and greeting clients. Nowadays, she works mainly on preparing Business Activity Statements, financial accounts, and income tax returns, assisting the consulting accountants with their workload where possible. She is also heavily involved with the maintenance of procedures and checklists for in-office use.

Outside of work, Rose enjoys spending time with her husband and their myriad of pets. She enjoys crocheting and journaling, and loves playing board games with whoever is willing.

Syuqaira joined the team at Patane Accounting in July 2019. She is in the midst of completing her Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and International Business at Edith Cowan University.

Syuqaira is an assisting accountant, assisting with the preparation of income tax returns, business activity statements and financial accounts. Syuqaira has learnt and experienced a lot during her time at Patane Accounting and looks forward to achieving more in the upcoming future and you may also find her at the front desk or taking your call.

In her leisure time, Syuqaira enjoys baking, travelling, crafting and most importantly spending time with her family.

Chris is the most recent addition to the team, joining as an accountant in July 2021. Currently he works on income tax returns, business activity statements, and assisting with administrative duties. Chris completed his Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Accounting at Edith Cowan University in 2015. Since graduation Chris has worked in a private accounting practice in Perth, managing a diverse range of business clients and developing his skillset. Born and raised in Bunbury, Chris loves being back home closer to family and friends. He is looking forward to helping local clientele with their financial needs and learning all he can with Patane Accounting.

In his leisure time, Chris enjoys long walks, binging old television shows and graphic novels, and spending time with family.

Courtney joined Patane Accounting in 2023 while studying Certificate III in Accounts Administration.  She is currently studying Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with aspirations of becoming a Certified Practicing Accountant in the future.

Courtney conducts herself in a highly professional manner and loves to follow standards and ensure all processes are adhered to – providing a great overall client experience.  She prides herself on her attention to detail, strong work ethic while always looking at ways to enhance and improve the practice’s productivity.  Courtney’s bubbly, respectful and friendly personality shines through in her role at the front desk and is ready to help in any way she can. 

When Courtney is not working, she loves reading books, doing various puzzles and spending time with her family.
